Several years ago , I suffered debilitating injuries in a car accident. I tore ligaments in my jaw , neck and hip , which has crippled me . Before my accident , I was an avid fitness buff and shape athlete. Post accident, I could not lift his head or participate in activities . And then I found yoga. Finally, I could go again, but it was not until the yoga for Jocks ( ” Joga ” ) that has transformed me physically and mentally. Although my ligaments never heal , my muscles have regained my lax connective tissue and I am stronger and fitter now – more than ever!
Joga sports program is a highly specialized training, but ! Do not fear the description, if you are not an athlete. Joga is different from regular yoga because it is designed so that the muscles and / or tight lesions that athletes tend to suffer , but the reach of almost any person poses can be modified to suit different levels of strength and skill. Joga signals are the same in each session that helps build body awareness and the ability to start engaging muscle groups attending the effectiveness of any activity.
Joga includes four interchangeable segments based on a person’s needs . These include ( in summary) : a segment – construction sequence of the heat used as active recovery or functional hot and best believe you sweat ! There are a lot of fun with an impressive touch challenge segment two – basic activation and no reactivity to help you properly engage and develop a strong core , while the construction of tolerance and acceptance of physical demands three segments of the body – the balance and breathing work with integration kernel to find equilibrium stability in posture , and integration of the base segment of movement – for active four stretching muscles lengthen and prevent pull, stretch or adverse soft tissue such as tendons and ligaments.
Sequences segments / Joga are always the same so that they can measure your progress as you progress through your program. It is ideally twice a week for two months to complete physical and mental benefits of the program in fact! You’ll feel like a machine at the end of it and what ever activity you can participate in will be enhanced by the exceptional results Joga , including injury prevention , rehabilitation, conditioning, work of breathing , mental awareness / body core conditioning and more !
My past has given me knowledge of imbalances in the body , the mind that occur with injury. Encourage commitment to provide the body the opportunity to strengthen and prove to yourself that anything is possible . I train a lot of teams / athletes / individuals like soccer , football, curling, hockey, skiing and basketball.
