There have been flaws concerning the current educational system, that has caused schools to perform less than what is expected of them. This issues has since been a rampant one over the years, but no proper understanding has been accorded to them and as to why they exist, understanding what these problems with public education will often be the key towards getting them properly resolved.

One issue that many students often have to deal with is poverty. You cannot really expect kids to stay motivated to come to school when they do not even have the fund that can be utilized for such a purpose. They might even have a hard time buying the supplies that they need. Hence, their disinterest in activities related to school and to schoolwork.

The available technology in these systems may not be as advanced as the ones that are available for those students that are studying in a private setting, there is always a disparity with what these schools have and what the privatized institutions can offer. This may be due to the presence or lack thereof of funds. Minimal access to technology may cause students to lag behind.

Another point to consider is the size of classrooms. In many cases, schools in public arenas tend to have classes that are sized way too big. The presence of more than the numbers of ideal student sin a single classroom tend to cause issues like each student not able to get the right time and attention from the teachers since there are way too many of them that are competing for it.

There is a difference in the curriculum too. There are people that have been enjoying a more advanced educational program and this is often seen and noticed in private institutions. Meanwhile, the public schools have stayed with the usual programs that they have been stuck with over the years. Now, they may no longer be as efficient and effective as they used to be.

The health and the nutrition of the students should be taken note of too. Students would not be expected to be motivated to attend their classes when they are hungry and they are not properly nourished. Most would prefer finding ways on ow they can have something to eat instead of actually attending their classes. Hence, resulting in prior attendance in many of the schools owned by the government as a result.

There is always the involvement of the family and of the parents. It has been fast becoming a trend these days when families would not really care for much about what is going on in the schools of their kids. They do not have that much interest in what their kids are doing and how they are doing. This often leads to kids becoming apathetic whether they are doing good or not in school.

Violence is also another point that should be considered. In some schools bullying is considered a very rampant occurrence. Kids are bullied by other kids. There are also instances where violence are seen and are present in the classroom. Either they were condoned or were just left unnoticed. Regardless, creating a safe classroom environment is one very important goal that educators should aim for.
